What does "Website Accessibility" actually mean?
Website accessibility is the practice of ensuring that all users, regardless of disability, can perceive, understand, and interact with your digital content. Technically, this means your site must be compatible with assistive technologies like screen readers and allow for full navigation via keyboard.
When is the new 2026 ADA deadline?
The Department of Justice (DOJ) recently finalized a rule under Title II of the ADA. Large public entities (50,000+ population) must be compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA by April 24, 2026. Smaller public entities have until April 26, 2027. Private businesses remain subject to existing "effective communication" standards.
