Since 1990, I have worked in Information Technology as both a professional and someone who depends on it every day. Over three decades, I have built my career as a programmer and IT Director by solving complex problems. But for me, accessibility is not just theory. It is personal.
Living with speech and motor challenges has shown me how often technology shuts people out. I have experienced the frustration of websites that are not built for everyone. I have also spent years finding ways to fix those gaps.
My recovery focused on speech, so writing and typing challenges were often overlooked. That experience shaped how I see accessibility today. It is not just about compliance. It is about making sure people are not left behind.
